i looked at the comparison site local the other day .....1.56/1.60 ish ,time to moth ball the  oil boiler  and stick a wood burning one in ,coz this oil price is going to go nutts if they remove Russian OIL  from the market , however ,a decent plumber/heating engineer will be able to loop a Log boiler into the system leaving the oil boiler still in place for use at a later date  or to run along side the oil boiler ie start up on oil,then let the log burn boiler take over the main heating/cost .
Analogue mechanically  trained 1970,s Fitter  dear living  in a gone digital/tecno mad O Dearie me world......thankfully left behind with it all ,enjoying the bliss of NO phones ,  apps and  shortage of the intellectual, wile still managing to hone underachievement on the day to day in the sun  lol
