Kitty Kat now has charity status and continues to receive the support of the people of Cantoria and the surrounding area and of Puri, Mayoress.
The aim of the charity is to help control the breeding of feral and stray cats in the village and surrounding areas. Jean and Ron Nield have amazingly managed to neuter 30 cats since April. They humanely catch the cat, have the vet check and neuter it and return it to its area, identified by a clipped ear. They have received sponsorship from Ibex Insurance and individuals in the area.
We hope to have a facebook page soon. If you are in the Cantoria area and need assistance or would like to donate, please ring 670839654. George at the Town Hall supports the programme too.
Next fundraising - Wednesday morning 11th December, Lucky Dip, outside Cantoria Townhall. Do please talk to Ron and Jean when they have a stall in Cantoria or other charity markets to find out about the programme. Well done to them for seeing the problem of too many stray cats and doing something about it.     Liz  :cheesy:
