Spain - General Strike

Hi, I flew back to Manchester from Alicante on that day with Monarch, no problems even though there was a small demo outside the airport.

Whilst I don't recall reading about any airports having to close during the last general strike, there were certainly cancellations of flights by the major low cost airlines

I understand that a general strike has been called for 14 November. Does any one remember if the airports were closed in Spain during the last genral strike?
