Thanks Mermaid,
                       You intuition was spot on!!! do not ever ever give your personal info out!! No legal business would ever contact you in this way. Do not even answer them or respond to the e-mail as this lets them know that the e-mail address is valid, if it was correct in saying a debt was outstanding and there was an issue you would receive a proper notification.

Day before yesterday I received a text in Spanish saying that I had a debt outstanding and to call a number and pay by debit or credit card within the next 48 hours. There was no amount and it did not say who the text is from so I ignored it, being suspicious. Yesterday they sent another which I did not translate fully but seemed more threatening in tone, still suspicious of a scam to get my card details I have again ignored it...nothing received today.

Thought I should let the world know about this possible scam going on at the moment.
