How good are Victor Wanyama and the Holy Goalie ?
First 12 games in Southampton's season.....ever present Vic.....22 points....top 4.....hardly any goals conceded, thanks to the Holy Goalie too.
Vic breaks his leg, Artur breaks his thumb.......Saints take 5 points from next 21 points and leak goals like a sieve.
Just saying like :tiphat:
but what are you saying?
Nothing really.
Just an observation :tiphat:
Two former Celtic footballers now playing for Southampton, they are better with them than without them I believe the message is??
Regards :tiphat:
Ian
Boruc is a very good keeper and we struggled when he was out, but he is prone to the odd mistake.
Big Vic has struggled with the pace of the premier league and his passing has not been great but he is going to get better and better I believe.
Broke his leg just when he was starting to impose himself and Jack Cork came in, he has been very good and kept Vic out of the side, however corks injury has let Vic back and he will soon be back up to speed.
Our best players are Schniderlin, Lallana, Lovren and Shaw hopefully they'll all be at St Mary's next season but I won't hold my breath.
THEY WILL BE THERE,HAVE NO FEAR ABOUT THAT
RICHARD 62YEARS A SAINTS SUPPORTER
Hi,
I said saints would finish in the top 8 and what a last game holding united to a 1-1 draw, and then this week having 3 team members named for the WORLD CUP SQUAD NOT BAD EH,anyway we will see what happens next season,we might even get into EUROPE,wouldn,t be the first time would it,
HAVE A VERY NICE SUMMER LADS,YOUVE GOT BORING OLD CRICKET NOW,ROLL ON SEPTEMBER
DREAM ON YOU POMPEY BLUE ASS FLY

Also we could be on the way up and passing them in a couple of seasons. :wave
Southampton are not one of the "fashionable football clubs" that have a massive following around the world, they are a football club that has a small football ground, with a small training ground in Marchwood. Those who have compared their training ground of 18 acres to those of 147 acres of other premier clubs will see just how far they have come.
Through no fault of the players or supporters they were on the verge of extinction a few years back and now are doing their best to go forward.
A major comment made by the supporters is that "they sell the family" to survive, of course they have done this and sold some really first class youngsters on to top premiership sides.
Southampton supporters do not have a lot to cheer about, but this year they have played very well and unlike their last cup final where they played the dreaded 11-0 formation have reversed this and attacking play has been seen and noticed by all pundits.
I do not support them, but seeing how they have come forward in the past year was a credit to them.
The record held by any football club for the most players playing in a world cup is 16 in 2004 held by Arsenal.
Lets hope other clubs attack like Southampton did this year and then we will see some better matches.
Just to keep the records straight, I do not support Southampton, just like to watch football and I thought they played well to get 8th

Haha you may be close to the truth if we keep firing managers every nine months
Was good to see Southampton do well again though
Just read this post. I think if Pochittino goes then we will lose many of our best players. This week Cortese said if he was still there he would not sell anyone.
He said selling the players was selling the clubs ambitions.
The wheels on the SCUM bus are starting to fall off

:redcard: At least they have a bus, unlike the skates who can barely muster a caravan, like the rest of mong island
Now now children it's only a game of football haha

By the way poppy11 I hear nobody wants the bus with no wheels
IT'S ALL GONE QUIET OVER THERE
AT LEAST ONE OF OUR GOOD PLAYERS WAS WORTH 4MILLION POUNDS,WE DOUBT THAT ALL YOUR CROWD AND THE SO CALLED FOOTBALL GROUND WOULD BE WORTH THAT
Pass you on the way up Dick when your lot are in freefall again
:redcard:
ANOTHER PLAYER WORTH MORE THAN ALL YOUR POMPEY TEAM PUT TOGETHER (LUKE SHAW)27MILLION ,AT LEAST WE WILL HAVE POTS OF MONEY,YOUR LOT WILL HAVE TO GO BEGGING,WE MIGHT OF SOLD A FEW PLAYERS BUT WE HAVE PLENTY MORE WHERE THEY COME FROM(SOUTHAMPTON AREA) THE ONLY TIME YOU WILL SEE US IS IF WE ARE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET DRAWN AGAINST POMPEY IN THE CUP
GOOD LUCK IN THE COMING YEARS RICHARD
Dick my friend
isn't Scum City ( Sarfamton ) in the Portsmouth area!!!!
:redcard:
Your geography is sadly lacking. Skateville is a scruffy island separated from a beautiful country by a smelly trench which is neither deep enough nor wide enough to keep the plebs in.
I do beleive I read on the internet that SOUTHAMPTON have sold another teenage player, this time to ARSENAL & not LIVERPOOL,HOW MANY MORE HAVE WE GOT IN SOUTHAMPTON,this time it was only 7 MILLION,but again it,s more than all of skatesville is worth, what a bank balance we have to play with now, lets see who we can buy now,I am really looking forward to next season, not backwards like all of POMPEY
OH HAPPY DAYS,RICHARD
I feel sorry for Saints supporters, seeing there team being sold off and cannot do anything about it. Yes Champion league football has a lot to do with it, and of course money.
Fashionable football clubs is what players want to play for leaving the less attractive teams to fend for themselves.
I do hear Saints have a new assistant manager, Baldrick, he has a cunning plan. Well someone has to for the life of me I cannot understand why they let them all go.
Me I am a Gooner.
This all started with Cortese and then Potch going. Then when Lambert, Lalana and Shaw left the other players decided to jump ship too.
Chairman says nobody else will be sold but if a player does not want to be there he will not play his best. There is not enough time to spend the money to bring in players of quality to have a side who can compete in the premiership.
I went to the friendly against Bournemouth and fear for Saints chances.
The blame for this mess is the aparthy of the chairman who has sold any chance of success and lacks any ambition.
I suggested champions league at the beginning of last season this year it may well be relegation.
The problem with the 92 million saints received for the sale of half their team is where on earth are they going to find players who know full well they will not be playing in europe and not earning a large wage. I do not hope that the owners take the sale of these players and pocket it. What has happened to southampton fc should not happen to any other football club, to me all does not seem as it should be, something is going on behind the backs of the supporters. Gooner

:redcard:
So Southampton have sold nearly all there players and yet no one has questioned Liverpool/the rags or tottenham.they have poached there best players but it will be put down as the liverpool way or the utd way.yes it does happen and it always have but you will see in a yr or two that shaw was a graduate of the famous utd academy.
Hey Scummers........
I see the Mighty Pompey have ten points already this season
How many have your poor excuse for a team got so far???

Come on boys
You got a result today
Or are you still ashamed to be a Scummer supporter?
v) A poor effort aimed at deflecting flak away from the skates who rubbed shoulders with a PREMIERSHIP outfit in the week and found out how big the gap in class is before succumbing at home today to the mighty Newport. If I were you mate I would be more concerned about the likelihood of your apology for a club being replaced in the near future by Eastleigh, where I am proud to come from, and for who I played in my younger days. COYR
we agree with you poppy,as we also come from eastleigh and would love for them to change places with skatesville, what a game saints had yesterday, hope there is a lot more of that to come, also we think that pompey are skating on very thin ice,and that they have had a lucky start to what we all hope is a very bad season
UP THE SAINTS RICHARD
