The fact that they are programmable, also means you can wake up/come home to a nice warm house. I can even turn mine on with my phone using a wireless remote plug, which meant that after 2 weeks in the UK last winter, we came home to a lovely warm home.

Sorry for being late but we had a pellet burner installed on Christmas Eve last year by ACAR in Albox, Polígono Industrial Tardigueras, 78 Nave, 04800 Albox,  950 12 00 77,  its an Extraflame and has a 8cm flue horizontally from the back to outside and a 10cm external flue up above the roof line of the house, installed and all cleaned up in just over one hour and after running for 6hrs to burn off the oil etc inside after manufacture and some fumes, it has run brilliantly all last winter. Heats up a very large loung (size of two rooms) and if we open up the bedroom doors it manages to heat them to.

Checked the price of running it against purchasing wood and with the pellets from opposite Longo Albox at the wood yard at â,¬4.00 and the extra electricity for the fan, it still worked out cheaper, cleaner and a lot less hassle to use. You can purchase 1 to a pallet of bags depending on your storage space, we got through about one bag in 1 1/2 days but did have it on all day over the new year.  I do suggest purchasing a specialised vacuum for the ash as they have a special filter with metal to protect from hot ashes, the cost is around â,¬45 but worth every cent, Acar, Longos and Lepantos all sell them.

If you want to know anything more, just pm me.

We are so glad we spent the money as they are so easy to use and clean, no more lugging logs around and the heat goes into your rooms and not up the chimney.

Linda :-)

Hi
We had an insert pellet burner installed last October.
Great service from Fontalamanzora  (near Lidle's in Albox).
Quite expensive but warms the villa and easy to operate manually - does come with all singing/dancing app to operate but not mastered that one!
Great not having to buy/stack and store logs.
Only downside it is a bit noisy to run.
Hope that helps.

Have read the historical posts and get the concerns.  That being said, we have decided to change from log to pellet.

Are willing to put in a 1st class burner, but would like recommendations from fellow forum members...you lot are never shy

Any opinions/recommendations on good suppliers?  Thanks.
