Title: Aphids.
Post by: lord lucan on July 06, 2016, 19:22:31 PM
Hoa,

Just wondering if anyone else was having trouble from aphid infestations, we wondered whether the mild winter just passed had had an affect.

Many of our bushes, trees etc seem to be suffering at the moment.

Many thanks,

L L.

Yes our oleanders were absolutely covered and spraying didn't work.  No rain and mild winter plus not many ladybirds about.  We ended up having them cut down to get rid.

I also used the hosepipe, but at full bast, followed by an insectiside spray.  Nasties are all gone now and the oleanders are flowering beautifully.
