RECYCLING

I do keep a compost heap but, because I'm a part-timer here, it takes a while to 'grow'.  I lived in France for a while and the authorities, in my area at least, had recycling sussed.  Insofar as cuttings/trimmings/garden clear out/Christmas trees was concerned, they used to have a mass shredding programme going on at the local tip, where they would sell the shredded material cheaply, as mulch/composting material.  It was a system that worked really well.  Wouldn't it be a good idea if our Arboleas tip did something similar?
