I go to Salamanca roughly once a month, and to La Alberca. Salamanca is a wonderful city well worth a visit. La Alberca, wow, well what can i say. It is a must if you are up north west of Madrid. La Alberca is my base monthly, it is a Medieveal town with only 1100 inhabitants.... more or less. You wont see a more picturesque town in Spain. It is pre 1400.
