Hi Johnny, it's hard to say without seeing the "black flies" what they are exactly are they black aphids ?. You can treat black aphids and many other pests with a product called Chas 48, you can buy it in the Armeria next to the Mora garage in Arboleas. Take a sample of the flies to them at the Armeria and they will advise you on what you need.

My buddleia seems to have an infestation of tiny black flies - can anyone in Arbo-land give me some advice.
For now (as with the cochineal cactus infestation) I'm just spraying/washing them with soapy water. Thanks.
