Windows 10, will not accept password. Problem now sorted.

Problem resolved. 

Loaded website on our desktop; which runs windows 7; entered details asked for and received a code via my email.  Inserted code, which was accepted and instructed to enter new password. I used my original password which it accepted.

Switched on my laptop and entered my original password which was again accepted and now back on windows 10.

Thanks again for those that read my problem with a view to help me.

I have only ever used one password since installing Windows 10 on my laptop.
The message I receive when entering my password is ' You can't sign in to your device right now.  Go to account.live.com to fix the problem, or try the last password you used on this device.'
How can I go to the website when I can't access the computer.
I have had to use our desktop to ask for help and advise on how to solve this issue and would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

PS.  Window 10 is not installed on the desktop.
