Car Hire and Hotel Recommendations

We will be returning to the Garrucha / Mojacar area in Sept for a weeks visit to see some old freinds in the area, we will be flying in to Alicante, and as its 6 years since we were last in the area I would imagine quite a lot has changed, can any one recommend a good mid range Hotel in either Vera /Garrucha or Mojacar and an Honest and Reliable Car Hire Company.
