Thanks Telcaz, just done that, hopefully cracked it but watching telly at the mo so not sure,  :-\fingers crossed.

I had this problem last year, then a friend gave me this advise, "Go into tools, down into internet options, then change at top put in Google, then apply"
I know this works although I didn´t do it myself, as she very kindly did it for me, good luck.

oh dear, I installed a file called video download converter (stupid I now know) anyway I've managed to get rid of it but it's changed my home page to ASK, how can I get Google back please?
