Electric Blanket warning

Last week we bought a double electric blanket from Euronics , on the front was a prominent Icon displaying a bowl with fluid in it indicating it was washable the word LAVABLE was inside the icon . There were 6 languages on the front of the packaging including English giving details , WASHABLE was the top one in each language .

When we got home and opened the package and on reading the instructions we were dismayed to read " DO NOT WASH OR DRYCLEAN " . We have seen the blanket also for sale in Hyper Ocio and its brand name is Lavson so if anyone is considering buying one and as we did wants one thats washable as most are now a days this is not suitable for you also . I would have expected the instructions to most likely to be correct as it detailed all the legally required information than electrical manufactures have to include .

I cant think of any other reason why is should say Washable on the packaging and the opposite in the instructions unless there is another way of cleaning without actually washing it , if were missing something we would be grateful to know what .
