I thought that as far as bank interest in Spain goes, the government take their pound of flesh when the interest is paid out. If you think they should not have it, you should reclaim it on your annual tax return.

Hi
I was just going to tell you what others and we have done, but as you don't trust advisers or bank or gestors, perhaps you had better sort it out yourself!! :wave

We pay taxes in U.K. for our pensions and for any savings we have there.

If we have bank accounts here in Spain - and some of the money is put into savings accounts which make
interest - how do we stand?

We don't want to go to a gestor because we are afraid of being 'ripped off'!!!
