Umm, I think we both know who I mean and it isn't Mr Caparros!

Luis Capparos to the best of my knowledge is not Dutch, some might argue that be is infamous but we then have seen a different side of him at the meeting.

There is no telling, what the outcome will be. Have you sued someone or simply started a case? You can always retract a denuncia.

In this country be very careful who you kick against , it might backfire. If someone adviced you to sue,see if you have a witness and consider on which grounds you were led to sue .. although we are all adults and responsible for our actions.

I know a developer in Vera that is going go sue the pants off every single person that put him in bad light. Slander you know. He has got a few things in writing that is enough to ruin his opponents.

The court doesn´t like her time wasted as well.  My advice go for the instigators, or ride it out and hope for the best. But when all is legal ,what are you going to say in court? I Thought, I believed, I felt, I was told.  Good luck sounds like you need it

yeah Beo,I was there more British than Spanish I would say. Good meeting, shows demo man in a different light almost humble, at least the pressuregroups accomplished that, otherwise we would still fear and be manipulated. He must have taken notice of the pressure, the marches and all , wrong or right it doesn´t matter. The results matter.  So land can be rustic and legal if we speak about cortijos, land can change from on to the other if you can include it in your plan. So what is the problem.

So we were misled. What if we paid money to sue a builder or a lawyer, how do we get that back? Can they now put lawsuits on us or am Inow starting panic.

I am happy there is light at the end of the tunnel

Hi there you all, I think you want to knowm the following:

Monday night the alcalde pedaño of el Faz (Cantoria) was phoned by the  mayor that there was to be a councilmeeting  Tuesday morning at 10:00 o´clock with a surprise speaker; Luis Capparos the minister of Housing (here delegado ) of the Junta of Andalucia. The Alcalde Pedaño of el faz contacted as many of us British as he could and asked to spread the word. I was phoned by a friend aand we went to the townhal in the morning.

This is Spain, Andalucia. LuisCapparos the man that signed for the demolition of  the Pryors house was NOT at the townhall at 10:00 ´clock. The press told us that they had phoned the delegation and that there would be a small delay and they would arrive at 10:30. By this time a lot of expats had gathered and we went for an early coffe with Lisa at the Casino opposite the townhall.. At 10:25 we went up to the councilroom.

Sure enough at 10.30 Luis entered and took a seat at the mayor´s table who had come with his councillors(pp) the leader of the opposition had also come with one councillor(psoe) .

Luis bid us all welcome and wishedus a happy new year.

+There were 2 important points he said. One was about the housing  and the PGOU and the other about employment.

1) He started by complimenting the mayor and his local government (pp) and the opposition party (psoe) with their level of cooperation in concluding the documents to solve the problems as we know them.

He had come to Cantoria as it is the  ONLY place  together with Albox to have succesfully completed the documentation  that the Junta requires to solve the problem as we know it.

He vowed that he personally would  see the plan through the equipo de redactores (which are like state editors) to give it the green light. He congratulated once again the mayor for his input and wanted to explain the steps that are going to be taken from now on.

Fortunately  almost all the houses in Cantoria are built in the centre or in the "nucleo de poblaciones" (places where peope have always lived.  Just like the old cortijo´s Therefore he saw no problem about declaring these houses legal with the services that they require. Not a single house would be torn down. he went to explain that it was never his intention to knock the Pryor´s house down but he had to follow the law. Hmm Do I hear Pontius Pilatus washing his hands.

He envisions foreign Cantorians living here, enjoying their pension, the climate , with all the necessary infrastructure and facilities.

He touched on the fact that the land needs to be changed to include the expansion of the nucli of populations making urbano or deseminado
and then the infrstructure can be put in. He reflected that things had gotten to be complicated because nowadays owners need a "certificate of first habitation"
and that previously that was not necessary. He also acknowledged that townhals were allowed to deem lland, building land or not and that in the past and now townhalls had the authority to issue building permissions.  Townhals should proclaim green areas ,protected sites and what more.

Hmm, now was it not the same Junta that in 2007 made certificates of first habitation obligatory?? Yes sir mr Capparos your party that has been in the Junta for 25 !!!years now ordained that.  So a problem created by -is now taken away by -the YES, the Junta!!. Check for yourself the problem started 25 years ago after democracy came to Spain, the present local government (PP)has only been in 5 (?) years, well we voted them in. BUt they have solved now the problems that they have inherited going back as 25 years. I was told that 24 years ago the leader of the opposition (psoe) when he served a term of 12 years as deputy mayor, built a house in el Faz, I checked .it is true ,his son still lives in it. He also started his distributingcentre built on land that was not industrial and used electric form the highschool for 2 years. wow we are not hypocritical are we. This is the man that asks people if there houses are legal do you believe this?? It is all a political game.  You can fool some of us some of the time but not all of us all of the time.  Why in a predominantly psoe area did the psoe loose the election now twice afgainst the pp. because they know who is running  for the psoe and they do not want them back.

He went on to explain that ALL cortijos were always built on rural or rustic land and that that easily could be included in th PGOU as dissiminado or urbano. Hmmm. then why all the stress , all the fearmongering, lawyers insults, threats etc. The answer is clear the Junta and or psoe have politically manupulated us and it backfired..

"Any question" Luis asked .. the press had a few.  Sñr Capparos who pays for the infrastructure, the promotor, the builder, the pensioner.?
Answer when the land changes from rustic land the houses are then deemed legal as if they ever vwere "illegal", thewn they have aa right to infra structure. Up to the townhal and or the promotors/builders.  Same reporter:"how do these people pay for the infrastructure and can you give an example?

answer they give accessiones (shares that correspond to their land . Theryby supplying the land, the Junta then executes a project , say a school. or a waterworks.  Ofcourse according to the need of the facility.

A spanish gentleman then asked :can we then connect water and light , you know the services?.
Luis answered: when the plan has been in Sevilla and has passed the editors, tyhen the mayor can order linkups with the water and electric board.
Luis also said that at the very very most within 6 months this would all be behind us, but he vowed eveything in his power tgo speed the process up.

Then he announced that a deal had been struck been the local government of Cantoria (mayor and councillors) with Cosentino, you can find it in today´s Wednesdays pape. Cosentino is allowed after having paid the licences to extend his territory, expand his faactory in exchange for 1000 new jobs. Luis explained for the benefit of those who do not know that Cosentgino is a multnational firm in Cantoria . a few years a modest firm (marble) but patented a new procedure for silitone, has taken over in America the marble outlets and is the only European that sponsored the superbowl in the USA. I had heard about him but this is more than I knew. He congratulated the mayor and his councillors(pp). he wished us all well and closed the meeting. mWe then went to the Casino again for a cup of coffee and where a transltion and a summary was supplied.

So why the storm in a glass of water I would say.. I am getting so angry at all the people that have, without any need, caused so much panic.
