Greengage - Help

Hi

I hope that someone out there can help with this.

I have a lovely mature GreenGage. Which last year gave me so much fruit I had to freeze some of it.

At the end of last season, I had to prune the poor thing as it has not been looked after for years and was getting badley damaged. I was careful not to take too much out (I do know how to prune)

However, at the moment all i can see on it is 2 lonely little greengages right at the top.

Whats wrong if anything. Is it too early to see the fuit developing, or is he sulking, or was the winter too bad for the poor thing.

He is covered in fresh new shoots and seems to be very happy but no fruit.

I love Green Gages. Help :'(
