I am finding there are no new posts but it appears there are members on line , is there a problem with the forum ? Maybe I have pressed something which has stopped me reading any new posts !
The Six-Nations rugby matches this weekend should provide plenty of opportunities for people to comment - whatever the results? ... [Perhaps it is best not to try and make sense of the - usually upsetting - news from Gaza, or from the Ukraine, or from numerous other trouble-spots around the world?]

timb im just pleased im a socialist now ,
even my leader Lady Margreat would have probably voted for Sir Kier given the current batch of tory leading goons  8)
I remember 4 mill un enjoyed jobbing around on a Honda 50 in the early 80,s ,
Tebbit was telling us to get on our Bikes which a lot of us Did and through Lady Margreat the sign went up" Britain open for Business" through the single market ....and then came Honda & Nissan and worldwide investment .
Miss Abott will be just fine bless her , in fact hopefully they will make her Chanceller and we will get a bit of confidence back in the £ value globally

👍👍👍👍👍
The thing is Lady Thatcher promoted self reliance and enterprise ,one of my relatives is stanch labour ....hated her ....bought all his water & gas co shares, got all his free bank shares ,bought his council house .....was un skilled in the 70,s80,s 90,s supplemented his low income legally with benefit top ups in and out of work ....now mid 70,s living in a 250k bungalow up north paid for (well until the over 24k care home cracks in ..... :blank: ) he is still a socialist and still hates Thatcher ....... :blank:
a friend that started out with me, educated, practical mid 1980,s 25 year old ,now 60 lives in a stately home ,goes to work in a helicopter and has a new Bentley convertible for the sunday lunch run ,all through rolling the 1980,s90,s conservative self belief dice.
I my self grafted in my early years 13/40 , and did very well ,but by the time i was 38 ,i recognized the "golden cage" and the difficulty to escape it once confined so by 40 ,i had chosen a Fiat panda and olive picking & fresh food & air & Life
but all this was down the Thatcherism and here enterprise Culter (hence my spelling is crap because i was to busy making money than to go to school )
