It is the developers responsibilty to install all infrastructure.
In the case of electrcity and water they must use registered installers who issue an official installation certificate.
This is a requirement to then obtain a contract with a meter and them the supply company will take over responsibility for the infrastructure.
This is to avoid builders installing sub standard infrastrcture.
Nothing odd about this. It is the correct way of working.
There are cases of bulders installing temporary supplies using the wrong cables without correct insulation, or water supplies using cheap irrigation pipes.
The official installation certificates are a safety check against this.

thats it in a nutshell and without the current town hall team ,there would be plenty of brit homes sat with no lectric after disconections.........coz no body would give a shxt, but would enjoyi spending the Arboleas British 2 million euros per year.

Sounds like another opportunity for a brown envelope to change hands ! or perhaps not !
Why doesn't the electric company have responsibility up to the property ?

Roger

The builder is responsible, and the Endesa sub contractor (Proelec) has to inspect and sign that the connections are according to regulation.

This is a problem.
Antonio seems to have taken responsibility for sorting out the contracts, but we have been kept out of the loop.
However yesterday we were speaking to Vicente who is the engineer contracted by Endesa.
He is the person who is registering each property, not MO.
He has to sign a document to confirm that the property is connected correctly with the correct cables.
This is a legal document which he will not sign unless it is correct.
This is causing some problems for MO houses.
Hence the delay.

Who is responsible for the cables to the properties ?? If Endesa are, he's signing for his own company ?

Thanks for the update Roger
Fingers crossed we can get something connected in the next few weeks before they disconnect us again

Roger, is there any news on the electric contracts with Endesa for Mountain Oaks properties.
We were asked to supply our bank details some weeks ago by Mountain Oaks but have heard nothing more. Your website says Danny will be contacting owners but we have heard nothing and yesterday Endesa again came and disconnected our builders supply. Mountain Oaks have reconnected the supply but this is becoming a regular occurrence. How long before it does not get reconnected!
