Problem with pool skimmer?

What have I done, took off winter cover, start to hoover pool/backwashed.....now right skimmer not working!...........if I turn drain off and leave skimmers full on there appears not enough water going through the filter.......the right one was working until I started to clean and the did a couple of backwashes...............lots of air in sand filter, keeping letting it out......but the right skimmer is not pulling in any water no matter what I do.....any suggestions prior to calling in a swimingpool person..... :head :head ???
