If anyone out there, irrespective or age, sex or ability wants to learn to ride a horse, I can thoroughly recommend CESF (Centro Ecuestre San Francisco) just north of Huercal Overa......see their details at centroecuestra.es.
All their horses are immaculately cared for and very much loved.
I have had two hip replacements and another lady who goes there has had two knee replacements and they could not be more helpful and caring about your welfare and safety.
Mandy and Ed who own and run the stables have also set up a rescue centre for abandoned, abused and unwanted horses and ponies and are currently trying to get charity status.....they are also working with SEPRONA ......see info at CESF HORSE RESCUE GROUP....donations are always welcome....dogs and cats get quite a high profile out here, but unfortunately horses and ponies often suffer the same abuse and neglect and yet there is very little by way of rescue assistance for them in Spain.
If you think you can help, please contact them......no matter how small your donation, every little helps. Vets fees, farrier fees, feed bills all add up. Thank you
