If it's any help we have a brand new boxed Netgear N300 Wireless Adaptor, we only want 20 euros for it.

Hi Alfie

All local computer shops stock what you need if not I can supply it, but first you must consider the distance between your router and where you wish to locate your desktop.
If it's only a few meters or a couple of rooms away any 150N usb wifi dongle will do or a 300N for additional range and speed.

If it's going to be quite a distance away there are many wifi dongles with external antenna's fitted for extra sensitivity. TP-Link do a good range of these.

You could also have an internal card fitted, PC config permitting.

At the moment my desktop computer is hard-wired into the internet but I want to move the computer so that this will no longer be possible. I therefore need to buy a wifi receiver that I can plug into my computer so that I can access my domestic wifi signal.
Could anyone recommend the best bit of kit to buy, and from where. I've seen various receivers on Amazon UK priced at anything from £8 to £25, and I have no idea what to buy.
Thanks in advance.
