Young Podenco running loose on road nr Arboleas

Today, at around 1.50 pm there was a young podenco on the road between La Alfoquia and Arboleas at around the 3 km mark. He bounced into the road when he heard my car and seemed to be checking out if we were 'his' people.

Sadly, I have no choice in picking him up as my dog would probably attack him on sight, and she's a lot bigger than a podenco.

I did notice he had a chain type collar on so maybe he's broken free from his home?
