iPhone 3 call speaker

We are having problems with our iphone 3.
When we answer a telephone call we can't hear the caller unless we manually put the speaker on. We can play music etc and hear everything else.
Is there anywhere that repairs iphones without having to send it away or can supply a replacement speaker?
