My Spanish neighbor told me to let goat manure stand for six months as it is very strong so possibly it  killed your plants

Goat manure is better used as a soil improver or fertiliser.I used to use sheeps manure, dried out and mixed with sand as a top dressing in the garden.Containers are best filled with a soil/compost mix before planting.Goat and sheep droppings make excellent liquid fertiliser.
