Thousands of devotees of the Virgin of Saliente are due to descend on Albox for the annual pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Saliente this Thursday/Friday and this is year is of particular importance.

Just a little more than 24 hours to the start of the Romeria al Saliente 2017! We remind your of a few basic recommendations. Wear suitable clothing for the route (remember that it is a night walk of medium difficulty and of some 20km). Follow the rambla, not the road and bring identification and necessary food and drinks.
The bus services will start the return journey from the Sanctuary to Albox at 6am, 7am and at 12.30 noon. From Albox to Saliente will leave at 7.30 am and 11.00am.
Enjoy a great Romeria 2017 and the Day of the Virgin of Saliente.
Please note that there will be fireworks in the main square of Albox at 23.30 tomorrow (Thursday) to see the pilgrims on their way and some traditional music from 23.00. On Friday evening there will be a display of traditional dancing at 19.00 in the Sanctuary to add to what will already be a festive atmosphere.
