can anyone tell me why I am getting a message that my website's security certificate has expired or is not yet valid and that I am therfore under threat? Beware I have limited knowledge of computer technospeak

Read a posting earlier today from someone saying that their BBC Iplayer was not downloading but with so many different topics that have started as one thing then changing to something else while touching on other subjects through the transition its a nightmare to find anything .
I tried viewing a program today and its working perfectly with no buffering at all but something i selected to download is not downloading , tried a few programs , all 30 mins or less to see if it was a particular one but none are downloading , after Five hours there showing in the download file with zero byts , anyone found the reason .
