Has the price of cigs gone up in Spain.?

yes, prices depend on brand.  As for tobacco, Golden Virginia now Euros 49.50 for pack of 10.

i know it was the BP garage and they inflate prices,but i was charged 6.50€ por a single pack of golden virginia in there (it was a sunday) and that was before the IVA increase on the 1st!

I thought the price was government controlled which is why it's the same in every place licensed to sell tobacco products.....

it is .. which is why i was a bit surprised to read the price quoted above for a box of ten ... either heś got his figures wrong or the garage did a sly one as i had the man check the price for me at the time!  :-\

certain places are allowed to increase the price for services out of hours and they have to pay for a tobbaco license which is a lot more for the priviledge, but tobbaconists cant they are regulated by the government
