Old Pedro

Jose's bank account is ticking over nicely and he has certainly received a warm welcome from the Roma fans. Roma had twelve shots on target last night, what could have been?

Angleseyite

Jose seems very happy, big grin on his face, some might even say smug, but that's just jealously in my opinion.

Old Pedro

So Mourinho is in. Spurs save 14.5 million as Jose joins Roma. Jose stated "It was the incredible passion of the Roma fans convinced me to accept the job and I cannot wait to start next season" !

Johnny73

Didn't take long and us neutrals wish him well.  His tactics will suit Italian football more I think.
He also has a shed load of cash to find a new house with.

So  as Klopp has massively underperformed this season does that mean he should be off as well ??
Remind me again who is higher in the table Spurs or Liverpool.??
Mourinho is way off his best with his tactics but not sure he should get slated any more than some others.
But then there are few neutrals around.

He has got a new job at Roma as coach.

Angleseyite

Well!!!, Jose hasn't been unemployed for long, glad to see him back in the chair so to speak.

Bale can't play 90 minutes every game' - Mourinho says he has to 'manage' him only a little while ago. He is the premiership's leading player now at 81 minutes per goal. One could say the hat-rick against the bottom team today flattered him, but top players have all commented he should have played every game from the start. Jose may have had his summer holidays already planned with a series of poor selections and statements after Spurs slipped from first position in the premiership?

Yes Jose had an impressive CV until his decline so he should keep appearing in betting adverts and stay away from the premiership now.

You have to feel sorry for old Jose;

2007 sacked by Chelsea £18 million compo
2012 sacked by Real Madrid £17 million compo
2015 sacked by Chelsea £12.5 million compo (they learnt from past experience)
2019 sacked by Man U £15 million compo
2021 sacked by Spurs £30 million compo

A total of £93,000,000

Is severance pay tax free?

Why would it be tax free?  Its a sacking and still earnings and not redundancy. 🙄 If it was redundancy the first £30,000 only is tax free  But it hasn't been redundancy so tax is charged at the highest rate in the UK.

Unless you know the exact details of the situation, Mr Mourinio may not have been subject to the tax implications for whatever deal was done.

Johnny73

He may now be past it but with  20+  trophies he was one of the great managers .
Good luck to him and his money.

Either way, he is laughing all the way to the bank, getting paid for having to do nothing again..

It was written tongue in cheek. He must be devastated though paying all that tax :)

We were very lucky to have Vichai as an owner. Beers and donuts on his birthday, scarves for away games when it was cold, vouchers towards travel and food to away games and let’s not forget the “wonderful” plastic clappers :)

The outpouring of grief when he tragically passed came not only from the club and fans but the local community. He donated £20 million for a new hospital wing plus several million to local schools and charities. He was a true gentleman by all accounts - the local casino missed him as well :)

Old Pedro

Plus his salary and additional bonuses while in management. He is the special one. He set a record for the amount of money buying players in his career.

What do the fans get in return? At least your owner timb bought the fans some beers and food I read for his birthday and had a close relationship with the club. After Covid the fans will all rush back to the grounds and pay lucrative money for season tickets and merchandise. If that is what they want to feed into the current system then it is their choice. They sometimes forget the price of a ticket only gives you 90 minutes of football to watch, oh plus injury time if applicable. I see Pochettino is currently flying high with PSG. Spurs should never have let him go. Spurs were unlucky to lose the CL final, but why leave out Moura in the final after his incredible hat-trick in the semi?

Is this something to do with the Super Leagues ? I know nothing about soccer so please excuse me.

A proposal from the owner/investors mainly from Yankee land wanting to make more money by creating a Superleague at the expense of the current clubs in Europe by trying to get the top clubs to participate in a league that they alone will control through their investment. It is suggested that those who join will be isolated from their current leagues and will not be allowed to play for their own national team. 😕

I liked Mourinho as well, especially the couldn’t give a monkeys attitude with the media. To me his only “fault” was his always buying talent instead of developing it. A bit like a top chef only preparing ready made meals. He would never have risked his reputation the same way as Fergie did with the “kids”.

After being only half way through his contract, he is sacked. But a good payment goes with it. 😎
Its all over the media!!!!
