Hotels on way to santander

I stop a lot at Hotel Milagros km 146 on the A1. Lovely little hotel. I`m approx 4 hrs from the port, but that is at limited speed of 90 km/h.

When heading to Santander we like to get well clear of Madrid  for an easy start the next morning. We always stay at the Hotel Montermoso at Aranda de Duero. It is very easy access off/on the E5/A1 (km 164). Rooms are spacious and clean. There is a bar with snacks and a restaurant. The breakfast is very good, continental style but with good selection of fruit, rolls, meats and cereals which gives you a good start for the remainder of the drive to Santander.

We always stop over at the Ibis in Bilbao then drive down to Santander the next day nice road along the coast.  Arrive in Santander intime to go round the town before sailing.  The Ibis does a reasonable meal.

We are travelling at the weekend to santander. We will be going from burgos across to the A67.  Are there any average hotels on that route or do we need to get all the way to santander. Just need a nice place for the night where we can also eat.
