Could you keep me informed if you get any more info please. If there are not too many "rules" restricting noise etc we might take the Racing Rudge down for a laugh. Just not sure if straight through pipes and 110 Db would be ok

Keith, thanks for the offer, and I would love a try of a Ducati, but , won't  risk meeting a Spanish driver coming the opposite way after a few brandy's!!!!! Your a true gent, I have been offered the use of a Yamaha Tenere a mate who is layed up with.....gout.........but I can wait till September , it's so hot now for riding long distances and I have the Montesa for local rides.  I appreciate the offer, thanks so much . Will see you all Thursday for a coffee(in the car or Montesa) all the best, Jim

I know it's no use to you but the Ducati cooling fan was not coming on at all, quite a worry when it has been reaching temps of 120+ in town. Tested fan, ok. Tested relay for fan ok so it could only be a problem within the ecu which I can't do anything about so I have fitted a separate switch and now I can reduce the engine temp at a flip of a switch. Why do they make them so complicated.
If you want to take the Ducati out sometime you are welcome.

Just out of further intrest Jim,ask him to check the plastic fan blades as well wile its in bits on the Rad cooling as they melt and reduce the cooling power /air flow from the fan,it wont be causing this problem but its worth checking while its on the bench, also if he has it on the computer,he can bring the fan IN at a lower tempreture wich is good for cooling on these 30 deg plus days.

my tt600 runs like crap under 2500rpm,it was a fault with the early TT,S  from new, when i get a min,im going to buy the computer disc & lead and have a prat abough with it as the recone its now sortable.

hope you get sorted

i'm in the same bikeless club as you.  have been for a few weeks and its doing me head in.  personally i would take the bike from the shop(if its not too late) and keep it at home. not onlythat if its the cold start sensor its no biggie and i  bet there's a few on here that could help you with that. hope you dont miss the late summer/autumn riding season.
cheers,
mark

Well guys, STILL waiting for the Triumph to be sorted !! *&" *&"  The high revving fault has been diagnosed by computer as a duff sensor telling the magic box that the engine is cold and needs choke ?? was supposed to be fixed by Thursday last week, still waiting !!!??? Miguel (the mechanic) is now closed for the summer break so looks like the bike is imprisoned at his place while he goes away  :head No doubt he will blame Triumph for delay in supplying the part  I now know for a fact that Spanish people, along with Maths, literacy and Spanish language lessons, take lying and fobbing off lessons, some have degrees in it.  So bikeless probably till end of Month   well I still have the reliable Montesa for local trips out, viva Espana !!  regards, Jim >:D
