I would've have thought that this was a consorcio claim due to the fact that it was caused by a natural means ie heavy rain. The Consorcio tend to ask for a quote and the people I know who have had claims with them have been paid once completed but of course this doesn't include others who may have had problems.

I would consult with your insurance provider!!

Clare

No!  The Consorcio only pay for flood damage (i.e. water that´s hit the ground ) and not rain damage.  In the 2012 our insurer paid for the rain damage (water ingress via roof) and loss of freezer contents (due to extended power cut) and the Consorcio paid out for all the damage caused by external running water (flood damage).

We asked them ' if the tree outside fell on to the property, causing a hole in the outside wall, what would Allianz seguros pay for'
They adviced they would make good the outer wall, NOT repairing any damage internally, as that what we are responsible for, internal repairs.  it is internal so not covered by buildings insurance. Hence leaving a hole on the inside.
They left me in a dangerous situation when my roof collapsed , but offered to put the tiles back on after we had done all the repairs....
I am not renewing my policy with them. Good luck with this company their a joke.

Hi,at time of the 16-19/12/2016 deluge we also has high winds and we believe that this raised the tiles allowing the
rain in. We had nothing with the 2012 Inundation we had nothing nor with any rain since. The only time wr have had.the high winds. Am finding the broker more useless & frustrating. They didn't even advise me to getbquotes

adasingleton

Allianz seguros only repair the tiles on your roof .apparently the beams etc are not part of the roof .our own experience with this useless insurer .

Hi Clare,
When the Consorcio assessor called he spoke no English whatsoever so it was very much a Google Translate Moment and he was in a rush wuth so many cases to assess. He inferred they only dealt with Flood damage. Utvwas the Specialist Electrical Assessor who warned about the leaks. Broker has been useless. Bob

Hi all, have touched on this before when rain breached roof 17/12/2016 & took out Solar. A month to the day the assessor finally arrived and confirmed diagnosis and should get some form of payout. However we have been warned by assessor that Allianz may well not pay for roof repair. Anyone any knowledge of similar
