Green picture on android box

My old android box died a death but had absolutly no problems at all. I got a smart  tv android box MDO8V2 and installed it using the new HDMI cable and it loaded well, after about 5 minutes the picture goes green then a few minutes later returns to normal when watching uktvlive. I have a sony brava tv. anyone one else had this problem and solved it. Not much help on google.
