I haven't seen polenta in Mercadona (still worth looking tho) but I'm pretty sure I saw it in my fave spice shop nearby so, if you're going to Merca anyway, it would probably be worth checking the shop out.

It's on the same road as the one you are on to enter Merca's car park - just go uphill towards suicide corner and the shop is pretty much opposite the Euro Weekly News office. It looks like a mobile phone shop but is also a mini supermarket run by a very nice Pakistani family. Great selection of spices, I think the polenta is towards the bottom rhs of the shop.
