Not Just The Walk - a Day of Non-Stop Entertainment

The big event of the year in Arboleas is the annual Walk for life.  The 2019 Walk will be on Saturday 4th May. It isn’t just a walk it is an afternoon and evening packed with entertainment. 

The fun will start at 3.30pm with your favourite DJs from Smooth FM.  From then you can start registering for the walk and collecting your number.  There is a â,¬2 registration fee (free to under 16s) and every competitor gets a medal.

The Dog show, organised by the wonderful Christine Axelsen, will be at 4.15, registration 3.30. Throughout the afternoon Smooth fm will provide a commentary and Fusion will entertain you. There will be a guest appearance by Marilyn Shipley at 5.15. 

After a short pre walk warm up with Ali Mallet the ribbon will be cut at 6pm.  Good Luck to the runners and walkers!  The 3k & 6k routes will be well signposted, Marshalls will be there to help and water will be provided at various stations along the walk.

Food will available from 6pm with pulled pork baps from caterers Saks and later there will also be chilli by Maya of Sol Yoga and curry by Cetra to purchase. The Party in the Plaza starts at 7.45 with entertainment by Debbie Davis Dance, Kay Francis and Emma Wild.  You can reserve a table for â,¬2 by emailing w4lifesweet@btinternet.com or phone 608 762 748.

Although it is the best fun day of the year it is all about helping people with cancer in your area, so we do need your money.  If you are walking please get sponsors. If you can’t walk, then sponsor someone who can.
