England dont like wickets where it helps the bowlers,
had it been a wicket that helped the batsman we would have won easy. About time luck went our way.

Why do some sports have complicated rules which can be misinterpreted. In Athletics if you cross the line first without a false start or coming out of your lane, you won. If in football if the goal goes in where noboddy was offside, it's a goal. In tiddlywinks if the counter goes in the cup you've won.😅

Just read on Yahoo News that England were wrongly awarded 6 runs for the over throw instead of 5 this due to the fact that the Batsmen had not crossed when the ball was thrown.
So a great game great excitement but just how lucky were England to win it

Yes very enjoyable.
Just seemed to be a strange qualification format, the final being contested by 2 teams that had each lost 3 games,(33%) of their qualification games.
Nevertheless the records show England World Cup Winners. Well done.

cant this happen if football where a team that finishes maybe thits in the group, qualifies as one of the best 3rd place, goes through to the knock out stages and wins.

Both England and NZ had to win their semi final match to get there

What a great game it was today. Feel sorry for the Kiwis though. They had it in the bag until that last over. But credit to Stokes who was incredible. Great 8 hours of sport. Well done England.
