Medical insurance advice

Could anyone provide some hints and tips on where to look for for medical insurance that will cover us for staying in Spain for around 6 months? I believe this is a standard requirement when applying for a long stay visa (post brexit).
Some basic quotes we've had are phenomenal and I'm sure we are just looking in the wrong place?

Sanitas is the one you need ,you may get cheaper but it is wether it is acceptable to the govi as it need to be like for like cover as per you would have with the NHS , i believe they wont cover pre existing conditions ,depending on age  1500 to 4k per year as a guide per person .
