Solved.
I sent the pics to SERBAL, they have come back to me confirming they are Badger prints. The lack of claw marks shows that the prints are the hind legs of an adult or front legs of a young one.

i saw it first on yesterdays dog walk, and took a tape measure today, a bit sad I know, but this one has me baffled.

Does anyone know what animal made this print? A small area in the rambla of dried mud, I initially thought badger, but there's no claw marks, so also rules out dog. Plus the toes are nearly in line.
