Having just signed my escritura I have taken out a one time insurance policy for Title Insurance. The cover is normally only up to 360,000 euros but higher cover can be arranged. Includes quite a wide range of risks and cover. The provider is a Lloyds of London group call STEWART Title Ltd. Specifically developed for Spain. cover varies based on value and is of the order of one time 300 euros.

Sorry to say if you have already been designated as an illegal build or know you have an issue you will probably not get cover as you have to make a declaration to the effect.
