Tab2 to TV

I believe it depends upon which model you have.  I have a 7" wifi only tab 2 and no HDMI cable will work as it hasn't got the right chips inside.  However, I believe that a HDMI cable will work with the 10" model and, possibly the 3G models.

If you have a Samsung TV you can use Samsung Allshare (now called Samsung Link) but you have to download the movie first - you can't stream direct to the TV.

Thanks Mark. We are finding it confusing as some web sites say the hdmi cable wont work on tab 2 tablets. Didn't want to spend 30 quid and find it does not work.
