D-Day 6th June 1944

This Thursday is the 69th anniversary of the Normandy landings to free "Fortress Europe" from German occupation.  

This coming Wednesday and Thursday at 22:00(local time) Channel 4 has a real-time multi-platform history event telling the story of D-Day in a new way. These 2 episodes reveal what happened to the seven featured people who were there on this day in 1944.

This Thursday the Zurgena & District Branch of The Royal British Legion holds its monthly meeting at Bar Latinos La Alfoquia starting at 10:30 for 11:00, all are welcome. Last year the Branches in District North Spain raised over 171,000€ to help ex-service personnel in Spain and the UK.
