Swimming Pool Repairs & Water Change Recommendations

Hi, has anybody had their swimming pool re-grouted and water emptied/filled again? 
Can you recommend anybody/or idea of price??
Oh and also if anybody's changed over to a salt pool, was it a good move?  our pools been a pain all year, other half wants to fill it in  :'(
