Feed to TV from tablet.

I did a google search on the LenovoA3000H tablet it does not have a mini hdmi output socket you cant get video with usb you need a tablet with mini hdmi output and a mini hdmi to hdmi cable

Have you tried connecting the cable with the tablet switched off then starting the tablet making sure the TV input is set to the HDMI that your using and the output on the tablet is also configured . Also is it a powered adapter or just the cable .

I own a LenovoA3000H which I feel is a good tablet. However I bought a lead with micro usb to HDMI plug and tried to watch "Film on" with this set up but TV shows no signal. The system with HDMI to HDMI cable works perfectly well with my laptop. Have I wasted my money buying this lead??
